Job Description
The Power Electronic Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing high-voltage component and system-level testing to improve characterization and production processes, working hands-on in a fast-growing diamond wafer manufacturing company focused on advanced tech industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and perform high-voltage component and system-level testing
- Design test circuits for power electronics components and systems
- Analyze test data to evaluate performance and identify issues
- Develop, maintain, and improve test programs and hardware
Requirements
- Be the technical owner for all high-voltage component and system-level testing, driving continuous improvement for both characterization and production.
- Lead the design of test circuits for power electronic components and systems.
- Analyze data related to high-voltage component and system testing.
- Manage the development and maintenance of test programs and hardware for power electronics testing.
- Possess a hands-on approach and a problem-solving mindset relevant to power electronics testing.
- Have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and customers.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures during work.
- Be able to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Be capable of using ladders or stairs when required for tasks.
- Be able to drive or use foot controls as needed for tasks.
- Lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds during work activities.
