Job Description
The People Operations Generalist supports the HR functions of a fast-growing tech manufacturing company, managing benefits, compliance, and employee relations across multiple U.S. sites while fostering a supportive, people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers, guiding benefits, compliance, and compensation.
- Manage day-to-day HR inquiries and support employee programs.
- Ensure HR programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy.
- Support the onboarding and enrollment processes for employee benefits.
- Promote and foster a supportive, people-first culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Support the expanding workforce across multiple U.S. sites by serving as a trusted partner to employees and managers, guiding benefits, compliance, compensation, and day-to-day HR inquiries.
- Ensure that HR programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy, while fostering a supportive, people-first culture.
- Thrive in a fast-moving, startup-style environment and enjoy wearing multiple hats across the People function.
- Support employees from the workplace to their personal and home life by providing opportunities to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time off, with benefits beginning as early as the first day of employment.
- Provide medical and vision coverage retroactive to the start date, and dental and voluntary benefits once enrollment is completed.
- Support compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, including ensuring manufacturing and engineering departments adhere to the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure manufacturing and engineering departments adhere to specific physical requirements to promote safety and efficiency, including the use of appropriate PPE, following all safety policies, and practices.
- Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
- Use ladders or stairs as required for certain tasks.
- Operate vehicles or foot controls as needed for specific tasks.
- Lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Operate in compliance with E-Verify, including providing Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S., and follow procedures if authorization cannot be confirmed, including contacting DHS or SSA before employment termination.
