Job Description
The Lead Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of advanced manufacturing equipment in a demanding environment, providing technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentorship to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of production equipment
- Lead and mentor junior technicians in maintenance tasks
- Perform advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on equipment
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in a demanding manufacturing environment, demonstrating technical expertise in equipment maintenance.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and supervise junior technicians.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude, including the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Exceptional electrical aptitude, including the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex equipment and systems.
- High level of commitment to safety and operational excellence, following all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during work activities.
- Ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions as part of job duties.
- Ability to perform tasks that may require the use of ladders or stairs.
- Ability to drive or operate foot controls as needed for tasks.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds regularly during work activities.
- Physical capability to meet the specific physical demands of the manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure safety and efficiency.
