The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR functions such as benefits, payroll, recruiting, and onboarding in a dynamic renewable energy company, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining confidentiality across office locations in New York or Washington D.C.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with HR functions including benefits, payroll, recruiting, and onboarding
Represent HR team and support team presence in New York City or Washington D.C.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Respond to payroll notifications and support ADP administration
Execute employment offer letters and related documentation
Support recruiting activities such as interview coordination, job postings, and document creation
Assist with onboarding processes including New Hire Orientation
Manage documentation for audit exercises and NERC Control Center staff
Handle purchase orders and billing invoicing
Verify and maintain I-9 documentation
Support internship program and other HR-related projects
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably with some exposure to Human Resources.
Experience with HRIS software, with ADP experience considered a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of administration, data entry, and reporting capabilities.
Organized, diligent, and able to manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis.
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, employees, and managers at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Approachable, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work in or relocate to New York City or Washington D.C.
Located in or able to relocate to New York City or Washington D.C. with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office per week.

Salary range of $55,000 to $85,000 plus bonus and benefits
