Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing manufacturing departments, leading production teams to meet customer goals, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating workflow in a modern aerospace repair environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee the safety and well-being of the production team.
- Monitor and review completed work to ensure adherence to scope and quality standards.
- Assign, verify, track, and monitor work using computer software applications.
- Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve performance goals.
- Manage personnel work hours, shift schedules, time off, and overtime to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with trainers and managers to improve employee skills and process efficiencies.
- Lead department meetings and communicate changes affecting employees.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment or aviation maintenance.
- Experience in understanding and following verbal and written instructions accurately, including the reading and interpretation of technical drawings and work scope instructions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and or experience in aviation maintenance.
- High School graduate, with advanced educational accreditation preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
- Experience in interpreting and applying basic shop math and the use of measuring devices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, which may include fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
- Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.
