Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for tracking, organizing, and delivering turbine engine parts through the repair process in a modern aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting production control and ensuring efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Track parts through repair processes and monitor completion times
- Staging, organizing, and verifying parts in storage areas
- Delivering parts to other departments and external shipping couriers
- Assisting with shipping and receiving operations
- Physically moving parts and maintaining parts progression between departments
- Using electronic tracking systems, including RFID technology, for part identification and location
- Providing and organizing carts, skids, and racks based on departmental needs
- Verifying part numbers, serial numbers, and matching documentation
- Preparing priority lists and scheduling parts for departments
- Coordinating part scrapping and ensuring proper documentation
Requirements
- One year's experience in a manufacturing environment or similar.
- Experience in the use of skids, pallet jacks, and forklifts lift trucks.
- Ability or experience following directions and reading work instructions.
- High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of computers and standard software programs.
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
