Job Description
The Manager of Digital Permitting is responsible for leading the permitting process for large-scale energy projects, including datacenter and power generation facilities, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and entitlements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain all necessary permits for early and late-stage datacenter projects and support projects through commissioning and financing.
- Manage third-party consultants and experts supporting permitting efforts.
- Coordinate with development, real estate, engineering, interconnection, and legal teams.
- Facilitate discretionary permitting, including permit strategy, tracking efforts, working with local authorities, and securing entitlements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to identify siting constraints, project design, technology options, and permitting strategies.
- Engage with community stakeholders and regulatory officials, including representing the company in meetings and hearings.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the energy industry.
- Candidates must have experience with the permitting process related to energy projects, supporting projects through early-stage development, construction, and project financing.
- Candidates must have experience supporting large portfolio projects through the full project cycle from greenfield inception, to financing, and through construction.
- Candidates must have proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Candidates must have experience with project management software.
- Candidates must be able to work in the Dana Point, Salt Lake City, or Lake Oswego office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Candidates must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
