The Manager of Execution Engineering oversees the design, engineering, and technical execution of large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar and battery storage, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient project delivery while providing technical leadership and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the design, engineering, and technical development of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
Oversee technical project due diligence, design reviews, and value engineering to optimize reliability and cost.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors on project execution, including RFP processes and construction support.
Lead quality assurance, field inspections, and commissioning activities, including performance testing and punch list development.
Support project financing, technical diligence, and operational issue resolution.
Develop technical solutions for region-specific requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor team members on emerging technologies, safety, and best practices.
Communicate project plans and technical findings effectively to senior leadership.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience in energy system design, project or land development, and or construction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and or consulting or as a project engineer.
Professional Engineering license preferred.
Graduate degree in engineering or business is preferred.
Experience managing third-party consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Electrical design experience, including 1-line and 3-line diagram conventions, NEC conductor sizing, overcurrent protection sizing, utility disconnecting means requirements, equipment selection, grounding methodologies, and short circuit current analysis.
Stormwater and grading experience with an understanding of the permitting constraints and limitations.
Experience with medium voltage collector system design.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Experience with Procore and or similar construction management platforms.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
