Job Description
The Settlements Analyst is responsible for managing revenue billing, accounts receivable, and energy settlement processes for large renewable energy projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting internal teams with reporting and analysis in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage revenue billing and accounts receivable for utility-scale solar and wind projects
- Understand contractual stipulations related to settlement activity
- Manage documents and ensure regulatory compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Handle shadow settlements with ISOs and manage ISO processes including data management and reporting
- Support accounting with settlement activity recording, regulatory filings, and audit requests
- Manage dispute processes with ISOs and qualified scheduling entities
- Provide reports, analyses, and trend analyses to support legal, regulatory, and commercial needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of SAP, general financial reporting software, and applicable power and utilities platforms used for invoicing and recording is needed.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and, to a limited extent, accounts payable processes.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, such as queries, pivot tables, and formulas, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products.
- Written and verbal communication skills that enable effective communication with various groups within the company, particularly the Accounting and Asset Management teams.
