Job Description
The Senior Payroll Specialist at Clearway Energy Group is responsible for processing payroll, managing timekeeping systems, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll and timekeeping issues, all while maintaining accurate records and supporting benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately for all employees, including adjustments and one-time payments
- Manage and monitor timekeeping systems to ensure accurate tracking of employee hours and attendance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Maintain and update payroll and timekeeping systems, troubleshoot issues
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain records for audits and management review
- Address employee payroll inquiries and provide support on payroll and timekeeping systems
- Coordinate with benefits administration to process deductions and contributions
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
- Review payroll tax calculations and filings to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Three years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
- Experience with payroll and timekeeping software.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent timekeeping skills and ability to manage time records accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
