The Manager of Land Development Contracts oversees land lease administration, royalty payments, and title verification for renewable energy projects, leading a team to ensure accurate land records, legal compliance, and stakeholder communication in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate land development contracts, including management and payment of landowner rents and royalties
Determine division of interest, calculate royalties, and ensure timely payments for complex transactions
Oversee lease analysis, interpretation, and abstracting, and verify title ownership
Manage landowner inquiries related to lease payments and administration activities
Support land lease payment budgeting, forecasting, and legal document review
Interface with stakeholders to resolve ownership discrepancies and maintain accurate records
Assist with process improvements, vendor setup, and contract compliance activities
Coordinate with GIS team to enhance spatial awareness of real estate agreements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Energy Management, Business, Law, or related field preferred in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience administering royalty payments and division order documentation.
Previous Division Order Analyst (DOI) Royalty experience is strongly preferred, with responsibilities and accomplishments highlighted in the application.
General understanding of the development, construction, and operations of renewable energy projects.
Managerial experience leading a team of regionally focused analysts.
Experience working with supporting departments such as accounting, legal, vendor management, asset management, and development.
Experience manipulating and managing large amounts of MS Excel-based data.
Ability to read complex agreements for specific provisions related to payment and notice requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, including intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment and occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
