Job Description
The Asset Management Intern will support project evaluations, financial analyses, and portfolio performance monitoring for utility-scale wind and solar projects, gaining hands-on experience in renewable energy asset management and investment decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project evaluations, contract reviews, and due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, and investments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance and provide P&L analysis of assets.
- Assist in performing financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence for plant optimization and capital investments.
- Create and manage tools to monitor and forecast asset financial performance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate rising senior or recent graduate, or a graduate student in their first or second year, in a field related to Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the willingness to ask questions, listen to colleagues, and contribute ideas.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable, demonstrating the ability to show up, be present, and eager to dive into the workday.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments, including taking initiative, asking questions, and speaking up.
- Willingness to support project evaluations, project agreements, contract reviews, and due diligence to help make recommendations in support of acquisitions, divestitures, and investments in company-related projects.
- Assist in performing financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence to support plant optimization, recovery plans, revenue enhancements, and other major capital investments.
- Create and manage tools to monitor asset financial performance and forecasted profit and loss.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide profit and loss analysis and economic performance of the portfolio of operating assets.
- Ability to present results to the team and leadership at the end of the internship.
- Willingness to support support project evaluations, contract reviews, and due diligence activities related to asset management and investment decisions.

Salary range of $23,000 to $32,000 USD
