The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing construction site safety, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training to support renewable energy projects within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support construction safety at project sites, including overseeing safety specialists and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Coordinate with construction management to identify safety needs and address health and safety issues.
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
Lead safety and training meetings, and evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in safety and training, or 6 years of equivalent experience in a related work discipline
Previous experience in the power generation industry, with wind or solar experience highly preferred
A high school diploma or GED is required
Experience using a personal computer and standard business software
SharePoint experience is preferred
Ability to travel between plants 40 - 60% of the time
Experience in construction safety, preferably on renewable energy projects
Strong understanding of 1926 OSHA standards
Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulatory requirements
Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as both a team member and leader
Ability to effectively communicate written and verbal at all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively make presentations to large groups of people
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals
Ability to read, create, and follow written policies and procedures
Ability to complete tasks on time without direct supervision
Ability to multi-task

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 USD
