Job Description
The Associate, Procurement Wind supports the wind turbine procurement team by managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, coordinating procurement activities, and assisting with project and technology assessments to ensure timely delivery of quality wind turbine equipment for renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement transactions and internal reporting for wind turbine equipment and service agreements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to execute sourcing solutions for multi-technology projects.
- Assist in RFx bidding, contracting efforts, and document review with vendors and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and manage key contract exhibits, stakeholder review, and stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate the procure-to-pay process, including vendor qualification, onboarding, and purchase order issuance.
- Maintain records of bids and generate technology and cost projections for wind turbine equipment.
- Support technology assessments and communicate opportunities and risks of turbine platforms.
- Coordinate RFIs to equipment manufacturers with internal project and engineering teams.
- Assist with project financing inputs and support liquidity optimization through cash flow modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, supply chain, engineering technical degree, or related field
- At least 3 years of wind industry experience
- Familiarity with commercial negotiations and contracting
- Effective project management, negotiation, contract management, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and document control
