Job Description
A CDL Class A Tanker Driver responsible for transporting bio-oil to injection sites, supporting site operations, maintenance, and safety procedures to aid in large-scale carbon removal efforts aimed at combating climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport bio-oil from rail terminals to injection sites safely.
- Load and unload tanker cars and operate site equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, and automation systems.
- Monitor flow, pressure, and temperature during injection and respond to alarms in real time.
- Troubleshoot downtime issues and share learnings to improve system reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare shipment samples.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and provide feedback to R&D and fabrication teams.
- Maintain a safe and clean site following safety procedures.
- Operate powered equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and personnel baskets for site preparation and execution.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Have at least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, pumps, valves, tanks, or similar equipment.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical components, including basic troubleshooting skills.
- Physically able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outside in all conditions.
- Strong communication skills with a can-do mindset.
- Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
