The Hybrid Cloud Architect at Charles River Associates is responsible for facilitating the organization's transition to a hybrid cloud environment by assessing workloads, leading proof-of-concept projects, developing cloud governance frameworks, and supporting automation and collaboration efforts to modernize the firm's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Assess workload migration readiness and evaluate infrastructure for cloud migration
Lead proof-of-concept projects for hybrid cloud solutions
Develop and implement cloud governance frameworks, including security, compliance, and cost management
Support automation of cloud provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Ansible and Terraform
Collaborate with on-premises and cloud teams to standardize practices and support hybrid initiatives
Document cloud migration processes, governance standards, and lessons learned
Requirements
Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid cloud architectures
Strong understanding of workload migration, cloud governance, and automation tools
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Ability to lead proof-of-concept projects and collaborate across teams
Effective communication skills with experience in documentation and knowledge sharing
Experience assessing workload migration readiness and identifying opportunities and challenges for moving workloads to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience developing and implementing cloud governance frameworks, including security, compliance, and cost management practices
Support the adoption of automation tools e.g., Ansible, Terraform for cloud provisioning, configuration, and management
Partner with on-premises and cloud teams to share expertise, standardize practices, and support hybrid initiatives
Document cloud migration processes, governance standards, and lessons learned
Experience with cloud migration assessment and proof-of-concept leadership
Background in security, compliance, and cost management in cloud environments (preferred but not explicitly mandatory)
Ability to assess existing workloads and infrastructure for cloud migration readiness
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to training and enablement efforts

Salary range of $130,000 - $140,000 with potential bonus incentive
