Job Description
This role involves managing billing and customer care services in a professional services environment, including preparing invoices, coordinating with project teams, handling collections, and generating financial reports to support client and internal financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and deliver accurate client invoices in a timely manner
- Research data, obtain approvals, and make adjustments to invoices as needed
- Communicate with internal teams and clients regarding billing and financial inquiries
- Generate and distribute weekly financial reports to clients, counsel, and insurance carriers
- Coordinate and submit monthly and quarterly forecasts using Oracle system
- Manage cash collections and monitor accounts receivable
- Process external contractor fees and ensure billing compliance with client contracts
- Resolve complex billing issues and handle ad hoc billing requests
- Review unbilled invoices to ensure timely billing and identify potential issues
- Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field
- 2-3 years of experience with time materials management and fixed price billing, including e-billing, ideally in a professional services environment
- Hands-on experience with MS Office Word, Excel and Oracle or similar billing system
- Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and deadline driven
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Capable of working independently with limited supervision
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an interest in continuous process improvement
