An Automation Engineer at CRA is responsible for transforming the company's infrastructure by developing automation scripts and practices to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support hybrid cloud integration within a complex on-premises environment.
Key Responsibilities
Automate repetitive and manual tasks within the global infrastructure.
Develop and implement automation scripts for Windows and Linux environments using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible to automate on-premises infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish automation practices that improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Support hybrid cloud integration and optimize performance of on-premise systems and cloud technologies.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years in an infrastructure or systems administration role, with a focus on scripting and automation.
Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with a proven track record of developing and implementing automation scripts for both Windows and Linux environments.
Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Practical experience with configuration management tools like Ansible for automating on-premises infrastructure.
Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure, including servers from Dell and Lenovo, storage solutions such as Pure Storage and Nimble, and virtualization technologies like VMware.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, applications, and security.
A problem-solving and efficiency-oriented mindset with the ability to think critically and translate manual processes into automated solutions.
Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure concepts is essential, including familiarity with multi-cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Experience with a diverse set of network and security vendors such as Cisco and Palo Alto is preferred.

Salary range: $130,000 - $142,500
