The position involves conducting economic, financial, and industry analysis related to energy markets, managing research projects, developing expert reports, and providing strategic advice to clients in a team-oriented environment, with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise research processes, mentoring junior analysts, and collaborating with leading academics.
Conduct economic, financial, and industry research to support client projects.
Develop and present client deliverables, including expert reports and analyses.
Consult with attorneys, clients, and regulators on finance, strategy, and economics issues.
Design and build complex economic and financial models, including programming and regression analysis in statistical software.
Analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and statistical programs.
Assist in the development of research summaries, expert reports, and presentation of findings.
Review and summarize industry reports, client documents, and trade press.
Support client and project management activities, including recruiting efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a similar analytic discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of five to seven years of professional experience.
Strong interest in and knowledge of the energy industry.
Experience with energy or environmental industries is highly desirable.
Excellent presentation skills and writing ability.
Strong problem solving abilities and resourcefulness.
Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to provide mentorship and supervision to junior staff members.
Previous project and client management experience.
