Job Description

This role involves conducting economic, financial, and accounting research and analysis to support litigation, regulatory, and business strategy cases, utilizing quantitative models and data analysis tools, and collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver clear, fact-based solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic and industry research to understand case issues
  • Develop financial and economic analyses or valuation models to support case theories
  • Perform regression analyses and build models using tools like Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, or SAS
  • Investigate accounting irregularities and respond to allegations of fraud, misconduct, waste, and abuse
  • Analyze financial data and prepare analyses, financial models, and expert reports for litigation
  • Investigate and analyze financial records and transactions to identify trends and anomalies
  • Leverage database skills to analyze large data sets
  • Communicate findings to team members, clients, and other professionals, and assist in drafting reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree candidates graduating in December 2025 or Summer 2026 with an academic focus in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Solid working knowledge of finance, accounting, and economic methodologies.
  • Command of a broad range of research and quantitative analysis skills including strong Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate governance, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience in gathering, standardizing, and analyzing voluminous transactional data.
  • Experience in data analysis and intelligence gathering, including querying and mining large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examining financial data, and filtering for targeted information.
  • Curious and analytical thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problems.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, activities, or attendance at CRA recruiting events.
  • Must be graduating from a bachelor’s or master’s degree program; if graduating from an MBA, PhD program, or with work experience, see current open roles on CRA Careers site.

Salary range of $92,500 to $100,000 with potential for bonus incentive compensation
Work schedule with at least 3 to 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility for remote work
