Job Description
A Software Engineer at Celonis responsible for developing and optimizing the company's frontend infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and UI testing frameworks, to ensure high-quality, scalable software deployment across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize frontend systems within the largest frontend repository at Celonis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application quality and release performance through early feedback and continuous improvement.
- Integrate advanced software engineering practices and tooling into development and deployment processes.
- Build, evolve, and maintain the Playwright UI testing framework for functional, performance, and accessibility tests.
- Analyze release issues to identify root causes and propose solutions to improve build stability and system performance.
Requirements
- 4 years experience as a software engineer on cloud SaaS platforms
- Deep knowledge of build infrastructure, CI pipelines, monitoring and analysis of various frontend functional tests
- Experience with Github, nx, Sonarcloud, Datadog, AWS, and Azure
- Expertise in Playwright and its infrastructure, as well as running large scale UI tests in parallel across shared resources
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, shell scripting, and Java
- Experience in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and solving build infrastructure problems
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Bias for action, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively with diverse fast-paced teams
