Job Description
The Senior Value Engineer at Celonis is responsible for guiding customers through data-driven business transformation by identifying value opportunities, building business cases, supporting platform adoption, and managing the full customer journey to ensure measurable business improvements and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to manage the end-to-end customer value journey
- Identify customer needs and translate strategic goals into specific use cases
- Create business cases, product demos, and presentations to demonstrate value
- Conduct Proof of Value projects and present results to executive stakeholders
- Lead workshops to identify process improvement opportunities using the platform
- Develop and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Present measurable results and value realization to senior management
- Manage long-term customer relationships, including adoption, expansion, and renewal
- Collaborate with customers to develop strategic roadmaps for platform integration
Requirements
- Experience in Value Selling or Consultative Sales leading a consultative process discovering customer needs, qualifying opportunities, building a business case value assessment, and running Proof of Value (PoV) projects.
- Proven ability to demonstrate and sell based on value such as ROI or strategic impact rather than just product features.
- Strong understanding of SaaS platforms or complex IT solutions, with hands-on experience building technical demos such as creating dashboards, simple applications, or automated workflows.
- Experience in a post-sales role like Customer Success or Implementation Consultant focused on helping customers achieve business results with a product, including driving user adoption, training users, establishing operating models like a Center of Excellence, and securing renewals or expansions.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, especially IT-related projects, controlling scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as consulting firms to deliver projects successfully.
- Proven experience preparing materials for and presenting results to senior leaders at the executive level, including C-Level and VPs, both externally at the customer and internally.
- Deep knowledge or practical experience in specific business functions such as Finance (e.g., Accounts Payable) or Supply Chain (e.g., Procurement, Order Management).
- Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives such as Shared Services or ERP system migrations.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, challenges, and strategic opportunities within specific verticals such as Manufacturing, Banking, or Retail, with experience tailoring proposals and roadmaps to address C-suite agendas.
