The Senior Value Engineer at Celonis is responsible for guiding customers through data-driven business transformation by identifying value opportunities, building business cases, supporting platform adoption, and driving process improvements to achieve measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with sales teams to manage the end-to-end customer value journey
Identify customer needs and translate strategic goals into specific use cases
Create business cases, product demos, and presentations to demonstrate value
Conduct Proof of Value projects and present results to executives
Lead workshops to identify process improvement opportunities using the platform
Develop and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives
Present measurable results and value realization to senior management
Manage long-term customer relationships and support platform adoption and expansion
Create strategic roadmaps for embedding Celonis as a core business platform
Provide feedback to product teams based on customer insights and use cases
Requirements
Experience in Value Selling or Consultative Sales, including leading a consultative process discovering customer needs, qualifying opportunities, building a business case value assessment, and running Proof of Value (PoV) projects.
Proven ability to demonstrate and sell based on value such as ROI or strategic impact rather than just product features.
Strong understanding of SaaS platforms or complex IT solutions, with hands-on experience building technical demos like dashboards, simple applications, or automated workflows.
Experience in a post-sales role such as Customer Success or Implementation Consulting, focused on helping customers achieve business results with a product, including driving user adoption, training users, establishing operating models like a Center of Excellence, and securing renewals or expansions.
Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, especially IT-related projects, controlling scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
Experience coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as consulting firms to deliver projects successfully.
Proven experience preparing materials for and presenting results to senior leaders, including C-Level and VPs, both externally at the customer and internally.
Deep knowledge or practical experience in specific business functions such as Finance (e.g., Accounts Payable) or Supply Chain (e.g., Procurement, Order Management).
Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives such as Shared Services or ERP system migrations.
Strong understanding of industry trends, challenges, and strategic opportunities within specific verticals like Manufacturing, Banking, or Retail, with experience tailoring proposals and roadmaps to address industry-specific C-suite agendas.
