Job Description

The Senior Value Engineer at Celonis is responsible for guiding customers through data-driven business transformation by demonstrating the value of the Process Intelligence Platform, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing the full customer journey from adoption to expansion, ultimately helping clients achieve measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to manage the end-to-end customer value journey
  • Identify customer needs and translate strategic goals into specific use cases
  • Create business cases, product demos, and presentations to demonstrate value
  • Conduct Proof of Value projects and present results to executives
  • Lead workshops to identify process improvement opportunities using the platform
  • Develop and implement process improvement measures and change initiatives
  • Present measurable results and value realization to senior management
  • Manage long-term customer relationships, adoption, and expansion of the platform
  • Create strategic roadmaps for embedding Celonis as a core business transformation tool
  • Provide feedback to product teams based on customer insights and use cases

Requirements

  • Experience in Value Selling or Consultative Sales leading a process of discovering customer needs, qualifying opportunities, building a business case, conducting value assessments, and running Proof of Value (PoV) projects.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and sell based on value such as ROI or strategic impact rather than just product features.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms or complex IT solutions, with hands-on experience building technical demos such as dashboards, simple applications, or automated workflows.
  • Experience in a post-sales role like Customer Success or Implementation Consulting focused on helping customers achieve business results with a product, including driving user adoption, training users, establishing operating models like a Center of Excellence, and securing renewals or expansions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, especially IT-related projects, controlling scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as consulting firms.
  • Proven experience preparing materials for and presenting results to senior leaders at the executive level, including C-Level and Vice Presidents, both externally at the customer and internally.
  • Deep knowledge or practical experience in specific business functions such as Finance (e.g., Accounts Payable) or Supply Chain (e.g., Procurement, Order Management).
  • Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives such as Shared Services or ERP system migrations.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, challenges, and strategic opportunities within specific verticals such as Manufacturing, Banking, or Retail, with experience tailoring proposals and roadmaps to address the C-suite agenda of that industry.
