Job Description
A Software Engineer role focused on designing and implementing advanced query language features for process data models, ensuring performance, reliability, and a superior user experience within Celonis's Process Query Engine team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new OLAP and graph-based features for the Process Query Language (PQL).
- Optimize the performance and robustness of language features.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and drive the evolution of PQL.
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and customers.
- Support and contribute to development and maintenance processes.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or comparable education
- Experience with writing scalable, reliable, and testable software
- Experience or interest in query language design for relational and graph based data structures
- Experience in system programming, ideally Java or modern C
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Understanding of database systems and query concepts
- Experience with designing and implementing new OLAP and graph based features for query languages
- Ability to optimize the performance and robustness of language features
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and customers
- Take responsibility for functional and non-functional requirements
- Support and contribute to development and maintenance processes
- Excellent communication skills in English
