Job Description
A Software Engineer role focused on designing and implementing advanced query language features for process data models, ensuring performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience within Celonis's Process Query Language team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new OLAP and graph-based features for the Process Query Language (PQL).
- Optimize the performance and robustness of language features.
- Contribute to the roadmap and evolution of PQL.
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and customers.
- Support and contribute to development and maintenance processes.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or comparable education
- Experience with writing scalable, reliable, and testable software
- Experience or interest in query language design for relational and graph based data structures
- Experience with system programming, ideally Java or modern C
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Understanding of database systems and query concepts
- Take ownership for the evolution of PQL to enable analysis of increasingly complex data models
- Design and implementation of new OLAP and graph based features for the query language
- Optimize the performance and robustness of language features
- Support and contribute to development and maintenance processes
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and customers
- Take responsibility for functional and non-functional requirements
