Job Description
A Software Engineer in the Performance squad responsible for developing and optimizing a highly parallelized and distributed database engine for process mining, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability through innovative algorithms and system programming in modern C.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new concepts and algorithms for data management and query execution
- Challenge and benchmark solutions to improve performance and scalability
- Shape and contribute to development and maintenance processes
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and customers
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of the solutions
- Support problem-solving and optimization efforts
- Mentor project teams and junior engineers
- Lead projects and define technical roadmaps
- Take full responsibility for end-to-end problem resolution
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or comparable education
- Experience in system programming, ideally modern C
- Solid knowledge in one or more of the following areas: parallel computing, distributed systems, or database internals
- Experience in software development for productive systems as a senior for at least 5 years
- Excellent communication skills in English
