Job Description
A Senior Product Designer at Celonis is responsible for creating intuitive and innovative user experiences for process automation products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into effective designs, and contributing to the development of automation solutions that enhance business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user experiences for process automation products that enable users to implement actions, automations, and orchestrations with ease.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to explore problem spaces and create effective solutions.
- Translate customer needs into intuitive product designs, prototypes, and detailed UI/UX requirements.
- Own the user experience of a key product area, ensuring designs are user-centered, accessible, and aligned with product strategy.
- Contribute to and utilize design systems in Figma to create consistent and high-quality designs.
- Identify pain points, ideate solutions, and improve the overall design maturity of the product area.
- Work with cutting-edge technologies and AI to bring innovation and efficiency to product solutions.
- Mentor and guide less experienced designers, and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Communication Design, Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5 years of proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, collaborating within software development teams.
- In-depth knowledge of interaction design, usability engineering, testing methodologies, and gestalt principles, with the ability to effectively communicate how these factors impact design decisions.
- Experience applying usability principles and techniques through various stages of product development including requirements gathering, user journey mapping, creating lo-fi and hi-fi wireframes, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- Experience working with and contributing to Design Systems in Figma.
- Strong empathy for users, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and excellent analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for user-centered design within and across teams to improve product usability.
- Understanding of accessibility standards to ensure designs are inclusive for all users.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
