Job Description

The role involves leading strategic transformation programs for global banking clients by translating institutional strategies into operational improvements using Process Intelligence technology, managing multi-stream projects, and driving value realization at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate institutional strategy into operational processes and long-term vision using the Celonis platform
  • Design roadmaps to optimize end-to-end value chains such as Trade Lifecycle, Client Onboarding, and Reconciliations
  • Construct business cases demonstrating the financial impact of Process Intelligence on banking metrics
  • Lead large-scale transformation programs by managing multiple execution streams and ensuring cross-divisional alignment
  • Drive the digital twin agenda by delivering interconnected process insights to executive stakeholders
  • Guide organization design and maturation of Centers of Excellence across global regions
  • Address systemic implementation challenges by defining standards for processes like STP and regulatory reporting
  • Measure and report on improvements in core business functions and program milestones
  • Scale and codify best practices within Capital Markets to create reusable assets and thought leadership
  • Coach and mentor team members on executive relationship management and financial instruments
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to product teams, aligning development with client needs
  • Manage the end-to-end customer value journey, including adoption, expansion, and renewal strategies

Requirements

  • 15 years of relevant experience, ideally combining tenure at a top-tier Investment Bank, Asset Manager, or Custodian with Strategy Consulting, with an understanding of the pressure of the trading floor and the complexity of the back office
  • Granular knowledge of the Capital Markets value chain, including Global Markets Operations, Controllership, Treasury Services, and Risk Compliance (e.g., MiFID, Dodd-Frank, CSDR)
  • Understanding of the modern banking technology stack, including Legacy Mainframe vs. Cloud modernization, Swift, FIX protocol, and how to apply Process Intelligence within that landscape
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stream programs where multiple projects run in parallel under one strategic umbrella, requiring strict dependency management and cross-functional alignment
  • Proven track record of driving large-scale transformation programs that impacted the P&L through operational efficiency or risk mitigation
  • Extensive experience presenting to and influencing C-Level executives (CIO, COO, CFO, CRO), navigating complex, matrixed organizations, and using data to persuade senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and possessing an entrepreneurial leadership style that inspires teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple execution streams simultaneously, ensuring alignment between siloed divisions such as Equities Ops, Reference Data, and Compliance
  • Ability to build and articulate robust business cases that demonstrate the financial impact of Process Intelligence on banking metrics such as Cost-to-Income Ratios, Intraday Liquidity Management, RWA optimization, and Fails Management
  • Experience in designing roadmaps for optimizing end-to-end value chains, specifically targeting Trade Lifecycle Front-to-Back, Institutional Client Onboarding KYC AML, and Inter-company Reconciliations
  • Experience in leading the digital twin agenda and managing interconnected processes rather than isolated use cases
  • Experience guiding organization design and the maturation of Centers of Excellence (CoE), and mobilizing global cross-functional teams across regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC)
  • Ability to define standards for Straight-Through Processing (STP), Exception Management, and regulatory reporting, and measure improvement in core business functions
  • Experience in turning client successes into reusable assets, playbooks, and thought leadership for the Capital Markets practice
  • Experience coaching junior team members on executive relationship management, complex financial instruments, and high-performance team dynamics
  • Ability to serve as the Voice of the Customer to Product teams, ensuring development roadmaps align with security, scale, and data lineage needs of a G-SIB
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role
