Job Description

The Account Executive, Expand - Energy at Celonis is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts by deepening relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue through consultative sales of process intelligence solutions to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deepen relationships within a portfolio of strategic accounts and drive growth through upsell and cross-sell initiatives
  • Represent Celonis solutions, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sustainability, and Opportunity Management
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and close six-figure deals
  • Collaborate with partners, including consulting firms and SaaS providers, to drive joint success
  • Lead and coordinate with cross-functional virtual teams to achieve sales objectives

Requirements

  • Proven Success in Account Growth with demonstrated ability to expand wallet share, increase adoption, and deliver upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer bases.
  • Relationship Management expertise with a track record of building and maintaining trusted, long-term partnerships with senior decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
  • Customer-Centric mindset with a deep understanding of customer pain points and the ability to align Celonis solutions to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with ease.
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally and leveraging internal resources to achieve shared success.
  • Experience working with consulting firms and enterprise technology partners to drive joint success.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-growth environment, bringing a creative and positive approach to challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently present to and engage with senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling and presentations.
  • Ability to own an individual revenue target, closing six-figure deals and driving upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Comfortable in technical conversations and communication at depth, with respect from engineers.
  • Ability to represent Celonis full suite of solutions, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sustainability, and Opportunity Management.
  • Experience collaborating closely with partners, including Big 4 consulting firms, other SaaS providers, and industry specialists.
  • Experience leading and coordinating with a virtual team, including business development representatives, marketing managers, partner managers, sales engineers, customer success managers, and professional services teams.
  • Ability to manage and navigate sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work Houston-based, as the role is based in Houston.
