This contract role involves conducting technical due diligence on global carbon projects, including research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to assess project risks, opportunities, and feasibility in areas such as land-use change, reforestation, and forest management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical due diligence on carbon projects, including reviewing documentation and analyzing risks.
Gather and synthesize data, industry trends, and best practices to support project assessments.
Provide expertise on project components such as policy frameworks, stakeholder dynamics, and technical feasibility.
Engage with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Participate in site visits, including interviews, meetings, and field evaluations.
Deliver written reports and recommendations based on research and analysis.
Requirements
Experience in technical due diligence, impact assessments, or feasibility studies.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Biomass sourcing, Afforestation, Reforestation, Revegetation, Agroforestry, Improved Forest Management (IFM), Biochar.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience with complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
