Job Description
The Digital Marketing Manager at Carbon Direct is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across various channels to drive awareness, engagement, and demand, supporting the company's climate science and carbon management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across channels to drive awareness, engagement, and demand.
- Manage email marketing campaigns, including lifecycle, nurture, and automation workflows, with segmentation and quality assurance.
- Oversee paid media, social, and retargeting efforts, including budget management, campaign setup, and optimization.
- Support conversion rate optimization through landing page development, A/B testing, and behavioral analytics.
- Define KPIs, track performance using analytics tools, and generate reports to inform marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on messaging, branding, and campaign execution while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience in digital marketing with success in demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), lead scoring, and full-funnel optimization.
- Proven experience in direct ownership of email marketing, automation campaigns, and paid social media performance, including managing budgets.
- Demonstrated success in driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), and pipeline growth at scale.
- Expertise in using HubSpot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, GA4, and GTM for campaign execution and analytics.
- Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation, and landing page optimization.
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, tracking limitations, and evolving privacy requirements.
- Strong audience research, persona development, and insight translation skills.
- Ability to build lifecycle, nurture, newsletter, and one-off campaigns with segmentation and quality assurance.
- Experience in developing automated journeys such as welcome, re-engagement, and nurture campaigns, including running targeted A/B tests.
- Experience in managing lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and CRM workflows to support marketing-to-sales handoff.
- Ability to manage budgets and pacing across channels such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other relevant platforms, including launching and optimizing retargeting programs and building lookalike audiences.
- Experience supporting landing page builds, CMS updates, onsite personalization, and running Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tests across pages, forms, and user flows.
- Proficiency in using behavioral analytics tools such as Hotjar to generate insights and drive improvements.
- Ability to define KPIs across channels and funnel stages, build recurring dashboards, and own tracking via GA4, Tag Manager, pixels, CRM integrations, and attribution models.
- Experience analyzing performance data, delivering insights, and recommending optimizations.
- Ability to contribute to forecasting, budgeting, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Cost Per Lead (CPL) analysis, and pipeline reporting.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with content, design, product, and sales teams on messaging and campaign execution, ensuring brand consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to maintain campaign calendars, documentation, and structured processes.
- Experience managing marketing vendors, agencies, and technology tools.

Salary range of $106,000 to $129,000
