Key Responsibilities
Review and assess carbon project proposals based on established quality criteria
Prepare short reports on project reviews under the supervision of senior scientists
Conduct technical diligence on various carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies
Requirements
Candidates should be advanced graduate students pursuing a Masters or PhD in climate science fields such as forestry, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or ecology who are interested in gaining work experience.
Candidates must be able to assist with project reviews that examine project proposals in the context of six quality criteria, following a set template, under the oversight of a Carbon Direct senior scientist.
Candidates should have the ability to conduct technical reviews and produce short reports based on project assessments.
Candidates must be willing to work on deliverable-based assignments with payment determined by the length and complexity of each review.
Candidates should have a strong interest in climate mitigation, carbon reduction, removal, and utilization technologies.
