Job Description
The People Operations Associate is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR processes, systems, and employee experience at Carbon Direct, supporting organizational operations and employee engagement in a fast-growing, remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of people systems such as Rippling, Lattice, Tilt, and Jira, including automation and workflow improvements.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leave administration, and contractor processes with accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to People Culture and support employee experience initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, process guides, and internal resources related to HR operations.
- Coordinate logistics for engagement surveys, performance cycles, and feedback processes.
- Support the organization of company events, recognition programs, and employee engagement activities.
Requirements
- Experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or Benefits Administration
- Hands-on experience administering HRIS, LMS, and people systems such as Rippling, Lattice, Tilt, JIRA, or similar platforms
- Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and execute reliably
- Proactive, improvement-minded operator who can streamline workflows, leverage automation and AI, and thrive in a fast-growing, remote-first environment
- High attention to detail with strong documentation, process discipline, and data spreadsheet skills
- Clear, empathetic communicator comfortable serving as a first point of contact for employee questions, including benefits

Salary range of $110,000 to $135,000
