Assist with reviewing and assessing carbon project proposals related to carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies, supporting senior scientists with technical evaluations to ensure project quality and credibility.
Key Responsibilities
Review and assess carbon project proposals based on established quality criteria
Prepare short reports summarizing findings of project reviews
Collaborate with senior scientists to ensure review accuracy and quality
Requirements
Candidates must be advanced graduate students at the Masters or PhD level in climate science fields such as forestry, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or ecology who are interested in gaining work experience.
Candidates must have the ability to review carbon project proposals and examine them in the context of six quality criteria following a set template.
Candidates must be able to work under the oversight of a Carbon Direct senior scientist and adhere to rigorous QA QC processes.
Candidates must be able to complete short reports based on project reviews, with deliverables aligned to the anticipated length and complexity of each review.
