The Digital Marketing Manager at Carbon Direct is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across various channels to increase awareness, engagement, and demand, supporting the company's climate science and carbon management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing programs across channels to drive awareness, engagement, and demand.
Manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, automation, list hygiene, and CRM workflows.
Oversee paid media, social, and retargeting campaigns, including budget management, optimization, and audience targeting.
Support landing page development, onsite personalization, and conduct conversion rate optimization tests.
Define KPIs, build dashboards, analyze performance, and generate insights for campaign and channel improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on messaging, campaign execution, and maintaining brand consistency.
Manage marketing vendors, agencies, and technology tools to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance.
Requirements
Experience in digital marketing with success in demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), lead scoring, and full-funnel optimization.
Direct ownership of email marketing, paid social media performance, and advertising budgets.
Proven experience driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL), Sales Qualified Leads (SQL), and pipeline growth at scale.
Expertise in using HubSpot, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, GA4, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation, and landing page optimization.
Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, tracking limitations, and evolving privacy requirements.
Strong audience research, persona development, and insight translation skills.
Ability to build and execute lifecycle, nurture, newsletter, and one-off email campaigns with segmentation and quality assurance.
Experience developing automated journeys such as welcome, re-engagement, and nurture campaigns, and running targeted A/B tests.
Experience managing budgets and pacing across channels including LinkedIn, Google Ads, and other relevant paid media channels.
Ability to launch and optimize retargeting programs and build lookalike audiences.
Experience supporting landing page builds, CMS updates, onsite personalization, and running Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) tests across pages, forms, and user flows.
Ability to use behavioral analytics tools such as Hotjar to generate insights and drive improvements.
Ability to define KPIs across channels and funnel stages, build recurring dashboards, and own tracking via GA4, Tag Manager, pixels, CRM integrations, and attribution models.
Experience analyzing performance data, delivering insights, and recommending optimizations.
Ability to contribute to forecasting, budgeting, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Cost Per Lead (CPL) analysis, and pipeline reporting.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration with content, design, product, and sales teams on messaging and campaign execution.
Ability to ensure brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality delivery of marketing campaigns.
Experience managing marketing vendors, agencies, and technology tools.
Preferred: Experience in B2B sales, climate tech, or technical enterprise environments.
Preferred: Familiarity with attribution models such as first-touch, multi-touch, and data-driven attribution.
Preferred: Experience managing external agencies or partners.
Preferred: Exposure to Account-Based Marketing (ABM) tools such as 6sense or Demandbase.
Preferred: Understanding of UX principles and web experimentation tools.
