Job Description

A Visual Designer at Canonical is responsible for developing and applying brand guidelines and design systems to enhance digital products and communications, focusing on usability, accessibility, and aesthetic quality to support open source software initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Evolve and apply brand guidelines to communication materials, UI design systems, and digital graphics
Create clear, stylish presentations that enhance user experience and accessibility
Design content-focused visuals for products, ensuring usability and adherence to web standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine visual design projects

Requirements

Experience as a designer with agency, company, or freelance design experience.
An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
An undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about an alternative chosen path.
Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation.
