The Ubuntu Pro Sales Engineer role involves engaging with enterprise customers to promote and support the adoption of Ubuntu Pro and related open source technologies, providing technical expertise, demonstrations, and solutions to meet customer needs in a global, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and drive the adoption of Ubuntu Pro in enterprise customers
Collect customer business requirements and advise on open source solutions
Identify customer challenges with open source and demonstrate how Ubuntu Pro can address them
Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and current clients
Collaborate with product teams to provide feedback and influence product roadmap
Work with sales teams to achieve sales targets and customer engagement goals
Travel internationally to participate in events and customer meetings
Requirements
Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualisation, containers and networking
Business-minded technology thinker and problem solver
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP
Intermediate level Python programming skills
Experience with Linux Debian or Ubuntu preferred
Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
Ability to travel internationally, for company events up to two weeks long, and customer or industry meetings
