A senior social media specialist responsible for developing and executing Canonical's multi-channel communication strategies, engaging with global audiences, and enhancing brand presence through content creation, analytics, and community engagement in a remote, tech-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own the social media and communications strategy across multiple channels
Analyze and report on content performance, campaigns, and channel metrics
Support growth and engagement of Canonical's enterprise audience and product adoption
Create compelling messaging and assets aligned with brand personality to drive audience action
Manage integrated campaigns, product launches, webinars, and industry announcements
Package and distribute Canonical's product offerings and educational content creatively
Establish standards and lead planning and distribution for organic social media
Utilize modern tools and analytics to understand market sentiment and measure campaign impact
Requirements

The candidate must have an interest in video and production, with some projects or strong thoughts on the use of video in social media.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal or external events.
The candidate must have experience developing and owning a communications strategy across multiple channels, with a focus on planning, messaging quality, and timely delivery.
The candidate must have experience delivering regular analysis and reporting on communications channels, content performance, and campaign results.
