Job Description
This role involves developing and automating features for data platforms and search/analytics engines like OpenSearch, focusing on fault-tolerant operations and system automation using Python within a distributed systems environment. It offers a fully remote work setup with opportunities for international travel and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate OpenSearch operations, including fault-tolerant replication, TLS, and installation processes
- Develop new features for data platforms using high-quality Python code
- Debug issues within the data platform and collaborate with upstream communities
- Collaborate proactively with an international, distributed team
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in software development using Python.
- Proven hands-on experience in distributed systems development.
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal and external events.
