Job Description
A leadership role in site reliability engineering focused on managing a high-performance DevOps team, implementing infrastructure as code, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, cloud-native managed services in a distributed, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performance team in daily agile DevOps practices
- Coordinate and drive internal projects related to operations and engineering
- Mentor engineers to enhance their skills and team capabilities
- Implement structured engineering and operations processes
- Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Maintain service level agreements and deliver quality managed services globally
- Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
- Proven experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings
- Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
- Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
- Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
- Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Experience of being a Linux and operations expert
- Excellent team leadership skills to lead a high-performance team
- Ability to organize, coordinate and drive internal projects
- Experience representing the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- Ability to mentor engineers to improve their skills
- Experience implementing structured engineering and operations processes
- Experience ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment with the latest technologies
- Experience working with fully distributed, home-based teams in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
- Location flexibility to be based remotely in the APAC and EMEA regions
- An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
