Job Description

A leadership role in site reliability engineering focused on managing a high-performance DevOps team, implementing infrastructure as code, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, cloud-native managed services in a distributed, remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performance team in daily agile DevOps practices
  • Coordinate and drive internal projects related to operations and engineering
  • Mentor engineers to enhance their skills and team capabilities
  • Implement structured engineering and operations processes
  • Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Maintain service level agreements and deliver quality managed services globally
  • Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
  • Proven experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
  • Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Experience of being a Linux and operations expert
  • Excellent team leadership skills to lead a high-performance team
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and drive internal projects
  • Experience representing the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
  • Ability to mentor engineers to improve their skills
  • Experience implementing structured engineering and operations processes
  • Experience ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment with the latest technologies
  • Experience working with fully distributed, home-based teams in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
  • Location flexibility to be based remotely in the APAC and EMEA regions
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
