Job Description
A Site Reliability Engineering Manager responsible for leading a high-performance DevOps team, managing large-scale distributed systems, and driving automation and cloud-native operations in a remote, globally distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performance team in daily agile DevOps practices
- Coordinate and drive internal projects related to operations and engineering
- Mentor engineers to improve their skills and team capabilities
- Implement structured engineering and operations processes
- Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Work to meet service level agreements with global customer deployments
- Deliver quality managed services in a consistent and timely manner
- Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
- Proven experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings
- Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
- Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
- Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
- Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Experience as a Linux and operations expert
- Ability to lead a team in daily agile devops practices
- Experience in organizing, coordinating, and driving internal projects
- Ability to mentor engineers to improve their skills
- Experience in implementing structured engineering and operations processes
- Experience in ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Experience in working to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
- Experience in delivering quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner
- An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
