A leadership role in site reliability engineering focused on managing a high-performance DevOps team, implementing infrastructure as code, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, cloud-native services for a global user base, all within a remote, distributed work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a high-performance team in daily agile DevOps practices
Coordinate and drive internal projects related to operations and engineering
Mentor engineers to enhance their skills and team capabilities
Implement structured engineering and operations processes
Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
Work to meet service level agreements with global customer deployments
Deliver quality managed services consistently and in a timely manner
Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
Proven experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings
Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
Experience as a Linux and operations expert
Ability to lead a team in daily agile devops practices
Experience representing the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
Ability to organize, coordinate, and drive internal projects
Experience mentoring engineers to improve their skills
Ability to identify and measure team health indicators
Experience implementing structured engineering and operations processes
Ability to ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
Experience working to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
Proven ability to deliver quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner
