Job Description

A Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, automated cloud infrastructure using Python, Linux, and open source technologies, ensuring mission-critical services operate reliably at scale in a remote, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, architect, and operate cloud infrastructure using Python automation from bare metal to containers and applications
Manage and maintain OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage environments
Implement and practice DevSecOps across infrastructure and applications
Develop and improve automation tools and processes for enterprise infrastructure at scale
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mission-critical cloud and application environments
Stay current with the latest open source infrastructure technologies and perform system upgrades
Collaborate with global teams to ensure reliable and secure cloud operations

Requirements

Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage
Python software development expertise
Operational experience in a high-pressure environment with mission-critical services for global brand name customers
Ability to work in a globally remote role
Willingness and ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events, for up to two weeks each time
Ability to learn and work across the entire open source infrastructure stack, from bare metal networking and kernel up to serverless and open source applications
Experience with architecting and running OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience with deploying or operating OpenStack or Kubernetes (preferred but not mandatory)
