Job Description
The Senior Communications Manager will develop and execute analyst relations strategies to enhance Canonical's visibility and reputation in the industry, leveraging data-driven insights and fostering relationships with analysts and influencers in the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute analyst-focused communication plans for product launches, partnerships, and initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry analysts and influencers through briefings and events.
- Use AI and other technologies to analyze market trends and assess analyst perception and sentiment.
- Create and deliver compelling narratives about Canonical and its products aligned with company vision.
- Coordinate with product management, alliances, sales, and marketing teams to communicate key news and manage perception.
- Measure and report on the impact of analyst relations programs, implementing tools to improve collaboration and manage spend.
- Proactively position the company in analyst reports to influence recommendations and enhance brand reputation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in market research, analyst relations (AR), or communications.
- Experience managing a technology communications agency or in-house AR programs.
- A track record of delivering innovative and successful communications campaigns in the technology space, and enhancing company positioning through AR programs.
- Experience with cloud SaaS and open source technology is an advantage.
- An analytical eye and a good sense for the type of content that resonates best with analysts and other industry influencers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and aptitude for forging trusting relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and differentiate what matters from the noise, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Affinity for planning and experience with project management tools like Jira is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
