The Regional HR Manager at Canonical will lead and manage the HR operations and initiatives for the Americas region, partnering with senior leadership to support employee lifecycle processes, organizational development, and diversity efforts in a remote-first, global technology company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and scale the regional HR team in the Americas
Deliver precise, compliant, and scalable HR operations
Advise on HR issues across the employee life-cycle and partner with senior leadership
Manage HR processes such as talent development, performance assessments, onboarding, and engagement initiatives
Collaborate with managers on performance management, organizational design, and workforce planning
Coach and advise managers on employee relations across multiple countries
Support training and development programs for employees
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Design and implement HR policies and global HR projects
Present HR practices at company events
Requirements
Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business
People management experience
Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders
Hands-on involvement in the daily HR routines and operations
Experience in working in a remote first organization
Ability to leverage data to make informed decisions
Knowledge and practical implementation of HR practices and employment law across the Americas region
Experience in handling and overseeing complex employee relations (ER) matters across multiple jurisdictions
