A Product Marketing Manager for IoT Embedded Systems at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and driving adoption of Canonical's IoT solutions across various industries, with a focus on open-source technology and edge computing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for IoT products
Create compelling messaging and positioning for IoT solutions
Lead content planning and marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption
Launch new products and features, coordinating cross-functional teams
Conduct competitive analysis and adjust market positioning accordingly
Support customer engagement strategies to promote growth and upselling
Plan and execute global events, webinars, and community meetups
Requirements
Deep understanding of IoT, embedded systems, and edge computing to drive adoption and commercial success of Canonical's IoT portfolio.
Experience in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for IoT products.
Ability to craft compelling, clear, technical, and business-oriented messaging that resonates with developers, engineers, and decision-makers in the IoT space.
Experience in leading content planning with product managers, including website copy, whitepapers, blogs, and sales enablement materials.
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans that drive awareness and adoption of IoT solutions.
Experience in launching new products and features, leading cross-functional teams to drive awareness and adoption.
Ability to run competitive analysis, stay ahead of market trends, and evolve market positioning accordingly.
Experience in planning and executing global events, live webinars, and community meetups aligned with GTM priorities.
Strong storytelling skills to craft messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passion for technology and open source, with enthusiasm for innovation, software, and community-driven development.

Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, partners, and marketing teams.
