Job Description
A product management role focused on leading the development and strategy of Canonical's cloud native products, including Juju, identity management, and observability, to drive open source software solutions for enterprise and technology markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the lifecycle management of cloud native products, including setting priorities and goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to align on product development and business objectives.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for product success, including identity management and observability.
- Oversee product development processes and review progress with engineering leads.
- Establish KPIs for project tracking and communicate status across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and execution excellence within product teams.
- Contribute to building high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Support sales efforts by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.
Requirements
- Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and or the management of open source software in the cloud native landscape.
- Experience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the common enterprise security and compliance requirements in the area of software operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
- Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Location based in the EMEA region, as this role will be based remotely in this region.
