Job Description
A product management role focused on leading the development and strategy of Canonical's cloud native products, including Juju, identity management, and observability, to drive open source software solutions for enterprise and technology markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the lifecycle management of cloud native products, including setting priorities and goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to align on product development and address challenges.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for product success, including high-performing team development.
- Oversee product development processes in coordination with engineering leads.
- Define and communicate KPIs for project tracking and performance measurement.
- Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and process improvements.
- Contribute to sales success by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.
- Manage the commercial strategy and marketing for cloud native operations products like Juju, identity management, and observability.
Requirements
- Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and or the management of open source software in the cloud native landscape.
- Experience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the common enterprise security and compliance requirements in the area of software operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.
- Passion to write about technologies and experience in the area of developer marketing.
- Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
- Location based remotely in the EMEA region.
