The IoT Solutions Architecture Manager leads a remote team of field engineers in presales and professional services, helping customers design and deliver secure, embedded Linux-based IoT solutions while fostering technical excellence and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services
Solve customer problems by promoting technologies and acting as a trusted advisor
Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members
Plan, manage, and track progress on goals and projects
Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
Develop and evangelize engineering and organizational practices
Collaborate with leadership and other teams to align on strategy and execution
Requirements
Location in one of the three Geos (Americas, EMEA, or APAC) to manage a team spanning few timezones, as this is a remote role.
Lead and develop a team of Field engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, in the areas of Presales and Professional Services.
Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and being a trusted advisor.
Manage a small team effectively.
Experience with customer engagements.
Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Extensive embedded Linux experience, including Yocto or other similar tools.
Extensive Linux experience, with a preference for Debian or Ubuntu.
Ability to communicate the business benefits of technology.
Professional written and spoken English skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
Ability to manage a small team.
Experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies.
Other desirable traits include RTOS experience, additional programming languages (both human and programming languages), and previous experience working in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
